It is also known as Casca dels reis. Three Kings’ cascas are a very popular sweet in the Valencian Community and in areas of Mallorca, as it is customary to give them to godchildren on Three Kings’ Eve instead of the famous roscón. We make these marzipan cascas with our artisan recipe using marzipan (made with mollar almonds, which are sweeter, so we use less sugar) and fill them with candied sweet potato, although we also have cascas filled with candied egg yolk, to offer more variety of fillings. They are hand-wrapped in cellophane, tied with ribbons, and weigh 250 g—ideal for sharing between 3 or 4 people.
