While many people already associate nougat with dessert, they may not know that nougat is a versatile ingredient in all kinds of cooking recipes with nougat.<\/strong><\/p>

One of its many possibilities is to use nougat in dessert recipes.<\/strong> In Jijona, they know this well, which is why we have been making nougat ice cream and nougat cakes for many years, as they are made with natural, high-quality ingredients by professionals and master artisans.<\/p>

We want to emphasize that in all our recipes that use nougat as an ingredient<\/strong>, we will refer to soft nougat and hard nougat as Jijona nougat and Alicante nougat, respectively. This is because only then do we ensure the highest possible quality, with a minimum of 64% almonds and 20% pure honey among their ingredients, setting aside other lower-quality nougats that use sugars and glucose. These nougats will always bear the logo of the Jijona and Alicante Nougat Regulatory Council<\/a>, an independent body that performs quality controls on nougat. <\/p>

Soft nougat<\/a>, thanks to its soft texture, serves as an easy sauce or cream for meat or fish. In contrast, hard nougat<\/a> provides a crunchy texture in any dish, even savory ones. Using Chocolate Nougat in recipes<\/strong> is not new, nor are we opening Pandora’s box in this field, but we do want to highlight the importance of using high-quality chocolate when making a chocolate cake or flan.<\/p>

Our pure chocolate nougat with almonds<\/a>, for example, far exceeds the minimum amount of cocoa to be considered pure, reaching up to a minimum of 70% cocoa. In addition, the almond used is always selected Marcona almond, the most expensive.
