Truffled chocolate is a product derived from chocolate<\/strong>. Although its name includes “truffle,” there is no presence of this highly prized culinary mushroom, nor has there ever been. <\/p>

Its texture is characteristic of chocolate and is achieved by creating a kind of praline (a type of cocoa paste) by mixing pure cocoa with butter and other ingredients. Exactly like chocolate truffles. But what are chocolate truffles? <\/p>

Chocolate truffles<\/strong> are a traditional Belgian sweet with an appearance similar to a traditional bonbon, made by creating a mixture of variable proportions of pure cocoa, butter, sugar, and eggs. Their name comes from their shape, which resembles truffles (the mushroom), but neither their flavor nor texture is similar. <\/p>

The main difference between our truffled chocolates and the pure chocolate nougats you can buy here<\/a><\/strong> is very simple. Truffled chocolates are filled with a smooth cocoa cream (with butter and eggs) and finally coated with a thin, crispy layer of pure chocolate.
