Today we bring you our very simple <strong>recipe for homemade turr\u00f3n ice cream<\/strong>. <\/p><p>It is true that this <strong>turr\u00f3n ice cream recipe<\/strong> is not 100% the same as those used in ice cream parlors, as we would need very specific machinery, but the result is spectacular.<\/p><p>If you have one and wish to use it, you can follow our <strong>turr\u00f3n ice cream recipe for Thermomix<\/strong>, as it is made in the same way.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">In the final result of this recipe, the turr\u00f3n we use matters a lot, especially regarding the sugar percentage. You should buy high-quality turr\u00f3n containing little sugar and a large amount of honey and almonds, as these flavors tend to be masked at low temperatures. A large amount of sugar will result in a <strong>homemade turr\u00f3n ice cream<\/strong> that lacks flavor.  <\/p><h2>Ingredients for making Turr\u00f3n Ice Cream<\/h2><p>In our <strong>Jijona turr\u00f3n ice cream recipe<\/strong>, we will use the following ingredients:<\/p><ul><li>450g of <a href=\"https:\/\/turroneslacolmena.com\/en\/pasta-turron-2\/\">Jijona turr\u00f3n paste<\/a><\/li><li>500ml heavy whipping cream<\/li><li>3 egg yolks<\/li><li>400ml whole milk<\/li><li>Zest of one lemon<\/li><li>Cinnamon stick<\/li><li>3 tablespoons white sugar<\/li><li>Half a teaspoon of salt<\/li><\/ul><p>Liquid turr\u00f3n can be replaced with <a href=\"https:\/\/turroneslacolmena.com\/en\/soft-nougat\/\">classic Jijona turr\u00f3n<\/a>, although you will need about 500g since creamy Jijona turr\u00f3n has a more prominent flavor (it is specially prepared for cooking).<\/p><h2>How to prepare homemade turr\u00f3n ice cream at home<\/h2><p>To <strong>make homemade turr\u00f3n ice cream, follow these steps:<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Prepare the milk in a large saucepan.<ol><li>Heat all the milk together with the cinnamon stick and the lemon zest (only the yellow part, without the bitter white pith).<\/li><li>When the milk reaches a boil, lower the heat to minimum for about 20 seconds.<\/li><\/ol><\/li><li>Prepare the turr\u00f3n ice cream.<ol><li>Pour all the cream into the large saucepan with the milk and heat over very low heat.<\/li><li>At the same time, separate the yolks from the whites and whisk them with the sugar until they turn white.<\/li><li>Add the liquid-textured turr\u00f3n and the salt to the egg and sugar mixture and mix well.<\/li><li>Once a homogeneous mixture is achieved, add the turr\u00f3n mixture to the milk and cream.
