What you should know about Alicante Turrón
What varieties of Alicante turrón are there?
Alicante turrón is always made with whole almonds and, depending on the finish, is either molded or cut.
The Alicante turrón you can find in our store includes:
- Bars: These are molded into large blocks and then cut. They are the typical traditional bars. There are bars ranging from 25g to 500g in weight.
- Rounds: This format is known as the Imperial Round. Very widespread in Spain. You can see the whole almonds.
- Mini-rounds: A smaller format of the Imperial rounds. To be enjoyed in a single bite.
Is it difficult to make Alicante turrón?
The process of making Alicante turrón is simpler than making Jijona turrón. The formula for both is practically the same, but the process for Jijona is extended until it becomes soft.
Our formula has remained unchanged since 1854 to achieve an ideal and balanced Alicante turrón recipe.
