The first indication of giving sweets and marzipans of Sant Dionís and the mocadorà is found in a manuscript of 1747. In it you can read that the origin was born on October 9, when a merchant named Gilabert bought in a pastry shop “more than 8 pounds of sugar and cinnamon nougat” as well as other types of sweets.
