The chocolate grajeas or peladillas that are manufactured and sold in Turrones la Colmena follow a strict process of artisan elaboration. They are handmade in cold chambers to maintain the quality of the chocolate and never break the cold chain.
First of all, the marcona almonds are selected to make sure that none of them are split; they must be whole. Once selected, they are introduced into metal drums that rotate continuously at a constant speed.
In batches of 5-10 minutes, add a ladleful of melted chocolate and let it cool for a few minutes. This process is repeated several times until an even layer of chocolate is spread throughout the almond.
Finally, the master peeler is the one who gives it the final touch, its characteristic shine.
These artisan chocolate candies are packaged in a cellophane bag in 150g or 500g. We also have chocolate candies in bulk in 5kg boxes.
