Our Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) rounds are a Christmas classic. Their format is ideal for breaking and their flavour is the traditional one.
The Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) rounds are thinner than the traditional Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) bars as the bars are cut with a saw and the rounds are made by hand. Therefore, the thickness is approximately that of an almond.
Our Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) rounds are supreme quality, the highest available, and this quality is only achieved by using the finest raw materials and a high percentage of toasted almonds (65%).
Thanks to this, our Alicante rounds bear the PGI and PDO gold quality seals awarded by the Regulatory Council of the Jijona and Alicante Nougat Designation of Origin.
How Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) Rounds Are Made

Our Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) rounds recipe is the same as our traditional Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante). The only difference is the final moulding of the product.
The final moulding of each Alicante round must be done by hand as the honey and almond mixture hardens in a few minutes. This means we must always make small batches, otherwise we would not be able to mould the entire mixture.
After being moulded one by one, they must be packaged very quickly, as leaving the mixture exposed to air for too long causes it to lose its properties.

Each Hard Almond Nougat (Alicante) round you can buy is made with:
- Toasted ALMOND (65%)
- Honey (20%)
- Sugar and EGG albumin. Wafer on surface (potato starch, sunflower oil).
May contain traces of other tree nuts, sesame, milk, soya and peanut.
Gluten-free product / Gluten free. Store in a cool, dry place.
