Many customers ask us which vegan nougats we have available to buy in our store.
We do not have a wide variety because the classics contain honey and egg. However, there are some vegan nougat varieties available for you.
Made without ingredients of animal origin. Our vegan nougats are a delicious option for those seeking these choices without giving up traditional flavor.

What you should know about Vegan Nougat
At Turrones la Colmena, we do not intentionally make these varieties as vegan. They are a selection of authentic, traditional nougats that do not contain ingredients of animal origin.
What ingredients do vegan nougats contain?
It depends on the type, but our vegan nougats are made with 100% plant-based ingredients.
The main ingredient is usually almond. However, we have other vegan nougats that use a different base, such as pistachio or coconut nougat.
The other basic ingredients are usually:
- Sugar: Ideal for sweetening
- Lemon zest and cinnamon: To provide its aroma.
- Dark Chocolate: Dark chocolate does not contain milk.
What other vegan sweets are there?
In addition to vegan nougats, there are other types of sweets in our store that fit this category:
- Vegan marzipans: There are some types of vegan marzipans. Caution: Although they are made with almonds and sugar, in some cases they are brushed with egg. Check the ingredients.
- Sugared almonds or sugared pine nuts.
- Dark chocolate sugared almonds.
- Candied fruit dipped in dark chocolate.
- Almonds filled with “a la piedra” nougat (without egg or honey)
Although none of these products contain ingredients of animal origin, they may contain traces of milk, egg, or honey, as they are manufactured in the same factory as the rest of the nougats.
