The marzipan nougat bars you can buy in our shop are handcrafted in a workshop specialising in this type of nougat. In that same workshop, other types of nougat are made, such as egg yolk nougat, stone-ground nougat or candied fruit nougat.
For the marzipan nougats we use a special variety of almond that prevents it from being dry and difficult to swallow, which is what usually happens with low-quality marzipan. This marzipan nougat is smooth and melts in your mouth and, by the way, it is vegan.
A Jijona tip: At home we sprinkle a little cinnamon on top, it will be delicious!
This nougat is rarely seen in non-specialist shops because it tends to have a limited audience, mainly because it is not well known.
Its texture is similar to egg yolk nougat or marzipan. Its flavour is a blend of raw almond and a hint of lemon. All combined with the sweetness of sugar.
Ingredients: Sugar, almonds (48%), water, lemon zest, cinnamon and preservative E-200. May contain traces of other tree nuts, sesame, milk, soya and peanuts. Store in a cool, dry place. Gluten-free product / Gluten free.
