Made with the same traditional recipe, our artisan Almond Cinnamon soft nougat is a product that has been part of our pantry for generations. For reasons unknown, it was not marketed enough and remained in the background behind its sibling, Jijona nougat. In recent years, with the rise of organic products and certain food intolerances, it began to be in demand and we now sell it as a staple product.
Although this nougat does not require any cooking in its manufacturing process and the people of Jijona used to make it at home by grinding it with stones—hence its name, a la piedra—it is difficult to ensure it does not end up dry and earthy. That is why we only use high-quality almonds that provide the right thickness and flavor.
Ingredients: Toasted almonds (49%), sugar, lemon zest, and cinnamon. May contain traces of other nuts, sesame, milk, soy, and peanuts.
