Chocolate clusters for Christmas
During the Christmas season, chocolate clusters become a perfect dessert to share with family and friends, as they are an exquisite Spanish confectionery treat (weighing about 15 grams per unit). There are three varieties to choose from: Dark, milk, and white chocolate.
You can add a festive touch to the white chocolate clusters by decorating them with small gold or red sugar stars.
You can also incorporate typical seasonal ingredients into the dark chocolate clusters recipe, such as a grated Alicante turrón bar as snow or coconut turrón. This will give them a unique and special flavor.
Furthermore, you can let your imagination play with the colors and create a small mosaic on a plate with them. This traditional sweet can definitely become the center of attention at any celebration.
How to store chocolate clusters?
The chocolate and almond clusters do not need to be refrigerated as they keep perfectly well outside. The only drawback, as with any product made with quality chocolate, is temperature changes and heat.
We do not usually make this sweet in summer due to the heat, although we may have them for special cases. If so, we always keep them in a temperature-controlled chamber at 16°C/18°C and ship them the same way so they arrive at their destination in perfect condition.
In summer, to preserve the artisan chocolate clusters and prevent them from melting, it is important to store them correctly in a cool, dry place without sudden changes in humidity or temperature. Humidity and heat can cause them to melt or bloom. This won’t spoil the product, but it won’t be as aesthetic.
By following these tips, you can enjoy each chocolate cluster in perfect condition for longer. One of the best chocolate desserts.
Are there other types of recipes?
Yes, the recipe is quite flexible and there are different variants with other nuts that we have even made on occasion, such as chocolate and orange clusters with pieces of candied orange. Very well remembered by some long-time customers.
For some time, we only made them with almonds, without hazelnuts. But we believe the flavor provided by natural hazelnuts is ideal for pairing with other desserts.
Another newer variant is chocolate clusters with cereal, where muesli or puffed rice adds a very crunchy touch. We do not make them, but you can always search for Thermomix chocolate clusters and follow the step-by-step preparation in your kitchen for different varieties.
