Our Alicante nougat cakes are a Christmas classic. Its format is ideal for breaking and its flavor is the same as always.
Alicante nougat cakes are thinner than traditional Alicante nougat tablets because the tablets are cut with a saw and the cakes are handmade. Thus, the thickness is approximately that of an almond.
Our Alicante nougat cakes are of supreme quality, the highest that exists, and this quality can only be achieved by using the best quality raw material and a high percentage of toasted almonds (65%).
Thanks to this, our tortas de alicante have the gold seals of quality IGP and DOP granted by the Regulatory Council of the denomination of origin Jijona and turrón de Alicante.
How are the Tortas de Turrón de Alicante made?
Our Alicante nougat cake recipe is the same as our traditional Alicante nougat. The only difference is the final molding of the product.
The final molding of each Alicante cake must be done by hand since the honey-almond mixture hardens in a few minutes. This forces us to always make few runs, otherwise we would not be able to mold the whole mixture.
After being molded one by one, they must be packaged in a very short time, since if the mixture is left in the air for a long time, properties are lost.

- TOASTED ALMOND (65%)
- Honey (20%)
- Sugar and EGG albumen. Surface wafer (potato starch, sunflower oil).
May contain traces of other nuts and/or sesame.
